" How to? "

Instructions “Dip it, Slip it” (minimise touching the clean tampon and aim to insert as fast as possible.):

1. to 4. Unwrap the finger cover over your index finger. Pop the tampon wrapper open by using the same motion as breaking a twig, then twist. Remove the bottom part of the wrapper.

5. Uncurl the withdrawal cord taking care to minimise pulling tampon fibres with it. Grip the cord in the middle of your palm.

6. and 7. Grip the top of the cord firmly as close as possible to the tampon then remove the top part of the wrapper.

8. to 11. Grip the cap of the bottle in your palm. Dip the tip of the tampon in the lube by no more than 1.5cm, slightly rubbing excess lube on the rim of the bottle to prevent droplets from spilling everywhere. A little goes a long way.

12. and 13. Close the little bottle, placing it somewhere. Relax, slip the tampon in and upwards to the small of your back, avoiding your urethra as far as possible.

14. Make sure it is pushed in by at least the length of your top finger lid and by half the second lid. The focus is not to feel the tampon after insertion and it must be past the opening of your urethra.

15. The withdrawal string must hang outside of your vagina. You can roll it up in a little ball for more comfort as long as it is still outside your vaginal opening.
* Wrap the finger cover in some toilet paper or in a bag if provided and dispose in the bin. Do the same with the used tampon. Don’t dispose directly in the toilet.
